How To Get Involved

There are a number of ways that you can get involved in Rainbow Farm:

Where you live

Friends in the UK, in the US and in other countries have supported Rainbow Farm in various ways:

Fundraising - through small dinner parties, dancing lessons, running marathons and supporting others who are doing this, making and selling cards and craftwork as well as helping with the larger fundraisers that are organised from time to time. If you have an interest in this sort of thing, Friends of Rainbow Farm would love to hear from you

Prayer - monthly prayer meetings are held in London - contact Senga Frisken for details of this and to be sent the monthly Rainbow Farm prayer calendar to help you follow what is happening on Rainbow Farm

Skills and opportunities - graphic and web design, contacts for promoting and raising funds for Rainbow Farm in schools, businesses and churches

In Brazil

The farm receives a significant number of volunteers from overseas, principally from the UK - individuals and couples as well as teams from churches and schools.

Numbers of volunteers are expected to rise as the project develops and more accommodation is made available.

Volunteers have helped in practical ways, welcomed the visiting children to the farm and worked with the local children's shelter

We also offer volunteers the opportunity to visit other projects including those working with other needy children including street children, children with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups of children

Quotes from some volunteers:

"Rainbow Farm is a very tranquil and awe-inspiring place, as soon as I arrived it felt like a home from home. I had a spiritually uplifting two weeks that made me realise that God really does some amazing things and is at work in all of us"

"Nothing could match the joy on the faces of the children as they jumped out of the minibus upon arrival at Rainbow Farm. They thought they were in heaven"

"At the end of the day, I TOTALLY recommend everyone do short term mission, as the positive effects doing this type of thing has on you and on people you go to work alongside are innumerable and far reaching. It's certainly blown my mind in many ways!!!"

"The farm is a very special sort of place - although the children's home wasn't yet open, it is easy to imagine what a restorative haven the place will be when they arrive. We would love to go back soon!"
